We are looking for a Senior UI/UX Designer who is equally skilled at crafting world-class design work and elevating the capabilities of those around them. This is a leadership-track role for someone who wants to shape how great design gets done.
Role Overview
As a Senior UI/UX Designer, you will lead the design of complex websites, web applications, and digital products while actively mentoring and guiding our existing design team. You'll own end-to-end design decisions, collaborate directly with clients and stakeholders, and set a high bar for craft and execution. This role is ideal for someone who has honed their skills across 4+ years of full-time design work and is ready to take on broader responsibility both creatively and in shaping team culture.
Key Responsibilities
Design Leadership
- Lead UX strategy and design direction for websites, web apps, and digital platforms across diverse industries.
- Own end-to-end design processes from discovery and user research through wireframing, prototyping, and final UI delivery.
- Establish and maintain design systems, component libraries, and brand guidelines that scale across projects.
- Make informed design decisions independently and articulate rationale clearly to clients and internal stakeholders.
Team Mentorship & Growth
- Actively guide and mentor junior and mid-level designers on craft, process, and design thinking.
- Review and provide structured feedback on team members work to improve quality and consistency.
- Contribute to building a design culture of curiosity, craft, and continuous improvement.
Client & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Participate in client-facing discussions to gather requirements, present concepts, and align on direction.
- Translate complex or ambiguous briefs into clear, well-structured design solutions.
- Work closely with project managers and developers to ensure designs are delivered accurately and on time.
Cross-functional Execution
- Collaborate with developers to ensure pixel-precise, responsive implementation of designs.
- Provide detailed design specs, assets, and annotations that minimize back-and-forth during development.
- Work across multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining consistent quality.
Qualifications & Skills
Required
- 4+ years of full-time experience as a UI/UX Designer, ideally with significant agency or product studio exposure.
- A strong portfolio showcasing a range of website and product design work including complex interfaces, design systems, and responsive layouts.
- Expert-level proficiency in Figma, including components, auto-layout, variants, and prototyping.
- Deep understanding of user-centered design principles, interaction design, and responsive/adaptive design.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects independently and make sound design decisions under time constraints.
- Strong communication skills able to clearly explain and defend design decisions to clients and non-designers.
- Experience mentoring or providing structured feedback to junior designers.
Preferred
- Knowledge of web accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design practices.
- Experience working within design systems and contributing to their evolution over time.
- Background in digital agency or multi-client environments with experience handling multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, or other design tools is a plus.
