Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the design, prototyping, and testing of UAV systems (multirotor, fixed-wing, VTOLs, etc.)
  2. Perform end-to-end system integration and testing across hardware and software components.
  3. Integrate and configure flight controllers, companion computers, and sensors to ensure reliable and precise UAV operation.
  4. Leverage ROS2 for advanced UAV autonomy, inter-system communication, and development workflows.
  5. Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to define project requirements.
  6. Mentor junior engineers or interns and contribute to team development.
  7. Maintain detailed project/process documentation, including design specs, testing logs, flight data, and performance reports.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
  2. 3+ years of hands-on experience in UAV R&D, system integration, and field testing.
  3. Proven experience in UAV piloting, both autonomous and manual, across various platforms and environments.
  4. Extensive experience with flight control firmware (Ardupilot, PX4, Betaflight, INAV) and flight controller hardware (PX4 Cube Pilot, Matek, SpeedyBee, Holybro, and similar).
  5. Strong knowledge of UAV system integration, payload integration and testing, RF communications, and sensor fusion.
  6. Experience with ground control software such as QGC, Mission Planner, and Foxglove.
  7. Proficiency in Python, MATLAB and/or C++ for UAV software development and automation.
  8. Experience with simulation tools such as Gazebo, SITL, or similar environments for testing and validation.
  9. Experience with companion computer integration and ROS2-based control and development.
  10. Familiarity with UAV regulations and compliance standards (DGCA or equivalent).
  11. Ability to manage end-to-end UAV projects independently, from concept to field deployment.
