Senior Test Engineer

Role Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Software Testing Engineer to join our Supply Chain Finance technology team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our Loan Management System (LMS), Loan Origination System (LOS), and supply chain finance platforms. This role demands strong domain knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, client-facing environment.

Domain Knowledge Requirements

• In-depth understanding of Supply Chain Finance concepts

• Hands-on experience with Loan Management Systems (LMS) — loan servicing, repayment schedules, interest calculation, and account management workflows.

• Practical knowledge of Loan Origination Systems (LOS) — credit assessment, underwriting workflows, document management, and approval processes.

• Familiarity with financial products such as working capital loans, purchase order financing, and supply chain credit facilities.

Key Testing Responsibilities

• Analyse business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories to understand the scope and objectives of each release.

• Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test strategies, and test cases covering functional, integration, regression, and UAT scenarios.

• Execute manual and automated test cases across web and API layers of LMS, LOS, and supply chain finance modules.

• Perform end-to-end testing of critical financial workflows including loan disbursement, repayment processing, limit management, and supplier onboarding.

• Participate in regression testing cycles and ensure test coverage across all impacted modules prior to release.

• Support performance and load testing activities to validate system behaviour under peak transaction volumes.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

• Actively participate in client requirement-gathering sessions, walkthroughs, and demos to build a thorough understanding of business needs.

• Serve as a QA point of contact for client queries related to test coverage, defect status, and release readiness.

• Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with client teams — provide test guidance, resolve queries, and manage sign-off.

• Communicate test progress, risks, and blockers clearly and professionally to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Manage client escalations calmly and constructively, proposing practical solutions under deadline pressure.

• Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, business analysts, developers, and project managers.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in test case design techniques: boundary value analysis, equivalence partitioning, and exploratory testing.

• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or REST Assured for validating financial service endpoints.

• Knowledge of SQL for database validation — ability to write queries to verify data integrity across financial tables and reports.

• Exposure to test automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, or similar) is an advantage.

• Working knowledge of SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies; experience participating in sprint ceremonies.

• Proficiency with test management tools like jira

• Ability to mentor junior QA team members and share domain knowledge across the team.
