ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Senior Social Media Manager who will own our Instagram presence end-to-end. This is not a coordination or scheduling role. You will be the architect and executor of our content strategy. You will build the calendar, write the briefs, appear on camera, direct shoots, manage junior creators, and pull performance data every week. You will work directly with the Head of Brand and our in-house DOP. The one thing that separates a great hire for this role from a good one: the ability to take clinical ingredient science and turn it into content that 50,000 people save. Not dumbed down. Not academic. Clear, compelling, and trusted. If you have done that before in health, wellness, beauty, or nutrition, we want to meet you.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Own the monthly Instagram content calendar, format mix, and campaign planning across Reels, carousels, and stories.
2. Translate science and clinical product benefits into content that earns trust, saves, and drives traffic to our brand store.
3. Appear on camera regularly for product demos, ingredient explainers, and UGC-style content.
4. Produce content end-to-end: scripting, shooting on phone, editing in CapCut or Premiere, and publishing.
5. Design feed graphics, story templates, and launch assets in Canva.
6. Drive organic Instagram growth through Reel format strategy, audio selection, engagement loops, and collaboration posts.
7. Brief, direct, and review output from 2 to 3 junior content creators.
8. Coordinate nano and micro influencer gifting, briefing, and content approvals.
9. Report weekly on reach, engagement rate, profile visits, and brand store referral traffic from Instagram.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
1. 6 to 8 years in social media with at least 2 years at a D2C brand in health, wellness, beauty, or nutrition.
2. Proven organic Instagram growth. You must be able to show an account you grew with specific numbers: starting follower count, current follower count, and timeframe.
3. Experience creating science led content. You already know how to talk about supplements or functional nutrition in a way that is accurate, simple, and scroll-stopping.
4. Natural, confident on-camera presence. Not working on it. Ready.
5. A strong premium aesthetic eye. You instinctively know what a Rs. 1,500 product should look and feel like on Instagram. You understand restraint.
6. Proficiency in Canva, CapCut or Premiere, and Meta Business Suite.
7. An active trend radar. You are deeply immersed in Instagram daily and can spot trending formats and audio before they peak.
8. Conversion thinking. You always know which Reel you just made is supposed to do what job.
NICE TO HAVE
- Prior experience at a supplement, nutraceutical, or clinical skincare brand
- LinkedIn content creation for founder-led brand building
- YouTube Shorts experience
- Experience working with or directing a videographer or DOP
- Familiarity with Meta Business Suite performance reporting

You have only managed or scheduled content without personally creating it. You have no health, wellness, or premium consumer brand experience. You are uncomfortable on camera. You do not have a portfolio of content you personally made.
WHAT YOU WILL BE MEASURED ON EACH MONTH
- Net new Instagram followers
- Average Reel reach and play-through rate
- Engagement rate (saves, shares, and comments)
- Profile visits from organic social
- Brand store referral traffic from Instagram
- Content output: minimum 20 posts per month across all formats.
