Responsibilities:
- Develop Splunk Search Processing Language (SPL) queries, reports, and dashboards
- Create and deploy Splunk applications using Splunk Deployment Server
- Test and deploy reporting solutions to support various IT operations use cases
- Gather and analyze requirements for new reporting requests and data queries from users
- Communicate effectively with leadership and other organizational levels regarding status, issues, and escalations
Minimum Required Skills / Competencies:
- Hands-on experience working in an infrastructure environment
- Proficiency in SPL, SQL, and related search/query languages
- Experience using Splunk CLI for administrative and operational tasks
- Knowledge of Oracle databases and scripting using Bash or KornShell (ksh)
- Preferred experience with Splunk 6 for report and dashboard creation
- Preferred experience with network packet sniffing tools and appliances
- Preferred experience with Splunk dbConnect application and Splunk forwarder deployment
