Job Description

Senior Executive / Social Media Specialist

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Executive / Social Media Specialist to lead the day-to-day social media execution for a premium arts and culture brand. This is a hands-on role for someone who is highly detail-oriented, operationally strong, and able to bring consistency, accuracy, and speed to everyday platform management.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable managing the full execution layer of social media, right from publishing and caption checks to community management, coordination, platform hygiene, and real-time troubleshooting. Beyond execution, this person should also be proactive in identifying gaps, flagging risks in advance, and ensuring that both internal teams and client stakeholders stay aligned on priorities and timelines.

This role requires someone who can combine process discipline with platform understanding, and who is equally comfortable handling routine execution as well as fast-moving, reactive requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Day-to-Day Social Media Operations

  • Manage the daily execution of social media across all active platforms, ensuring the brand remains updated, accurate, and consistent at all times
  • Oversee the end-to-end publishing workflow, ensuring all approved content goes live as per plan
  • Maintain strong day-to-day operational control over content calendars, posting schedules, stories, page updates, and live platform requirements
  • Ensure all social handles are actively monitored and maintained, with no gaps in execution or communication
  • Act as the central execution point for ongoing social media activities, ensuring nothing slips through the cracks

2. Content, Caption, and Publishing Accuracy

  • Review all content and captions before publishing to ensure they are accurate, approved, error-free, and aligned with the brand's tone and communication style
  • Check for platform-specific requirements such as tagging, handles, links, formatting, aspect ratios, cover images, alt text, hashtags, and publishing nuances
  • Coordinate any last-minute changes or edits required before content goes live
  • Ensure all assets used are the final approved versions and are uploaded correctly across platforms
  • Be responsible for publishing hygiene, including making sure every post is placed correctly, looks polished, and reflects the quality expected from a premium brand

3. Scheduling and Platform Management

  • Schedule and publish posts, reels, stories, and other social media formats in a timely and organized manner
  • Ensure all scheduled content is uploaded correctly and in line with deadlines, campaign priorities, and platform best practices
  • Manage publishing calendars in collaboration with internal teams to ensure smooth execution across planned and reactive content
  • Handle real-time changes to posting plans where required, including quick turnarounds, rescheduling, and urgent updates
  • Maintain a clear view of upcoming content and proactively flag any potential delays, asset gaps, or publishing conflicts

4. ORM and Community Management

  • Regularly monitor comments, direct messages, mentions, tags, and audience interactions across platforms
  • Respond to audience queries and interactions in a timely, relevant, and brand-appropriate manner
  • Escalate important, sensitive, or high-priority interactions to the relevant internal teams or stakeholders
  • Maintain consistency in brand voice across all community interactions
  • Track recurring audience queries, complaints, and conversation themes, and share observations with the team wherever useful
  • Ensure that community management is not just reactive, but also organized, responsive, and aligned with the brand's positioning

5. Asset and Workflow Coordination

  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure all required content assets, copies, approvals, and inputs are available before deadlines
  • Follow up proactively with design, content, video, account management, and client teams wherever dependencies exist
  • Maintain visibility on the status of pending tasks and ensure timely closure
  • Keep track of what is required, what is in progress, what is approved, and what is pending from relevant teams
  • Help streamline everyday execution by bringing structure to workflows and ensuring smoother handovers across teams

6. Dashboard, Tracker, and Reporting Hygiene

  • Maintain internal trackers, publishing sheets, reports, and dashboards with real-time updates
  • Ensure that all social media activities are properly documented, updated, and easy to track internally
  • Support weekly and monthly reporting by keeping execution data clean, up to date, and accessible
  • Monitor posting records, campaign updates, and asset logs to maintain operational transparency
  • Bring process discipline to execution, ensuring that the backend of social media management is just as strong as the front-end output

7. Trend Awareness and Content Opportunity Support

  • Stay updated on platform trends, content formats, creator behavior, trending audios, and social-first content patterns
  • Identify relevant opportunities that can be adapted for the brand in a timely and contextual manner
  • Support the team with execution-led insights on what formats, hooks, and platform behaviours are currently working
  • Share relevant observations that can improve the effectiveness, agility, and cultural relevance of the brand's social presence
  • Assist in spotting reactive content opportunities where relevant, especially for a brand that operates in culture, events, and experiences

8. Internal Coordination and Client Communication

  • Work closely with the Account Manager and internal cross-functional teams to ensure smooth day-to-day execution
  • Maintain clear, timely, and professional communication with the client on ongoing tasks, updates, approvals, and execution status
  • Ensure all client requests are acknowledged, tracked, and actioned within agreed timelines
  • Share regular updates on progress, completed tasks, pending approvals, and any dependencies impacting delivery
  • Support the overall account by ensuring there is always alignment between internal planning and client expectations
  • Be dependable in follow-ups, transparent in communication, and solution-oriented in problem-solving

Key Skills and Attributes

  • Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy in execution
  • Good understanding of major social media platforms, formats, and publishing tools
  • Strong operational and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple moving parts simultaneously
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage day-to-day timelines effectively
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Ability to anticipate issues, follow through on pending items, and keep workstreams organized
  • Comfort in handling repetitive operational tasks without compromising on quality
  • Responsiveness, reliability, and the ability to manage stakeholder expectations well
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to identify opportunities for smoother and better execution

Preferred Experience

  • 2–4 years of experience in social media, digital marketing, or content operations
  • Prior experience working on brand pages, live content calendars, ORM, and publishing workflows is preferred
  • Experience in an agency environment will be a strong advantage
  • Prior experience working with premium, lifestyle, arts, culture, entertainment, or hospitality brands would be valuable
  • Familiarity with social media management tools, reporting trackers, and platform-native publishing systems is preferred
