Position Overview
We are seeking a technically elite Senior ServiceNow Developer for a Canada-based implementation partner. This role is designed for a developer who masters the Core of ServiceNowscripting, integrations, and flow orchestrationwhile leading the adoption of Now Assist (Generative AI) across various enterprise workflows.
You will be the bridge between traditional development and the new era of AI-driven productivity, ensuring that our clients leverage the platform's latest intelligence features while maintaining a clean, scalable technical debt profile.
Key Responsibilities
Advanced Platform Development
- Technical Architecture: Lead the development of high-performance Script Includes, Business Rules, UI Actions, and Client Scripts.
- Complex Orchestration: Design and implement sophisticated automated workflows using Flow Designer and IntegrationHub (Pro/Enterprise).
- Integration Engineering: Build robust, reusable integration patterns via REST/SOAP APIs, Data Stream actions, and MID Server configurations.
- Modern UI Development: Utilize UI Builder and Workspace configurations to create streamlined, high-utility interfaces for agents and employees.
Now Assist & AI Strategy
- AI Configuration: Implement and tune Now Assist features (Summarization, Chat-to-Code, Resolution Generation) across the platform.
- Generative AI Controller: Configure connections to LLMs and manage the GenAI Controller to build custom AI-driven business logic.
- AI-Accelerated Development: Use Now Assist for Creator to drive development efficiency, while performing rigorous code reviews to ensure AI-generated snippets meet enterprise standards.
Required Skills and attributes for success
- Senior-Level Scripting: 5+ years of ServiceNow development with expert-level JavaScript (ES6+) and Glide API knowledge.
- Architectural Mindset: Deep understanding of the Common Service Data Model (CSDM) and how to build Upgrade-Safe customizations.
- Now Assist Fluency: Practical experience with ServiceNow's Generative AI suite (Vancouver, Washington, or Xanadu/2026 releases).
- Delivery Excellence: Proven experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment with onshore/offshore delivery models.
- PST Alignment: Exceptional English communication skills and the ability to work consistently during Pacific Standard Time hours.
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- Mandatory Certifications:
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
- Preferred Certifications:
- Any Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) badge.
- Micro-certifications in Now Assist Essentials or AI Fundamentals.
