Roles and Responsibilities:
This candidate should possess the skills and essential knowledge necessary to design, build, and customize applications and services within ServiceNow. We are looking for a technically savvy resource that can deliver new functionality and innovative solutions and be a lead contributor in the entire development life cycle.
- Providing insight and expertise into the ServiceNow platform capabilities and roadmap
- Customize ServiceNow applications and facilitate roll out of new features, applications and modules and configure Application UI and Configure Workflow
- Experience with implementing ServiceNow integrations (Rest API design, web services, database integrations)
- Develop new enhancements and custom apps. This will require expertise in JavaScript, Glide API, Integration Hub, Business Rules, Workflows, Client Scripts, UI Policy, UI Actions
- Transform needs from the customer to tangible items within ServiceNow using platform modules or creating new scoped applications
- Work with the client and business stakeholders to create workflows, working demos, and prototypes prior to full deployment within the ServiceNow environment
- Experience operating in an agile software development
- Working closely with the ServiceNow technical team to convert requirements into design and migration steps
- Communicating with technical and non-technical customers related to ServiceNow Platform
- Be an ambassador for the ServiceNow platform and educate our business partners how to better leverage the native features, as well as helping them understanding the customization capabilities
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience with ServiceNow development, including core ITSM tables, Glide, scripting, business rules, client scripts, data imports, custom apps, and development methods
- Experience with implementing scripted Web services in ServiceNow, jQuery, or Prototype libraries, Java, and CMDB integrations in ServiceNow
- Ability to customize workflows, Business Rules and UI Scripts using JavaScript to create custom applications and configurations on the ServiceNow platform
- Solved complex business problems
- Knowledge of REST Web services protocols
- Demonstrated Excellent written and oral communication skills with non-technical staff
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction
- ServiceNow Certification, Certified Application Developer
Desired:
- Broad understanding of general IT operations with a mindset to show how ServiceNow can improve those operations
- Knowledge of the CMDB functions of ServiceNow
- ITIL Foundations Certification
