About the Team

You'll join the Global Business Technology (GBT) team, a cross-functional group of engineers, analysts, and technology specialists distributed across India and other global locations. The team's mission is to build, scale, and support the internal technology ecosystem that powers Chargebee's business operations. GBT brings together expertise across Salesforce technology, in-house Chargebee product implementations, IT infrastructure, integrations, data warehousing, and business intelligence platforms.

The team works closely with Go-To-Market (GTM), Finance, Customer Success, Marketing Operations, and Sales Operations teams to enable seamless operations, data-driven decision-making, and scalable business processes. We value strong ownership, system thinking, and collaboration across functions to continuously improve how the business operates.

About the role

Chargebee Inc. is seeking a dynamic and experienced Salesforce Developer to join our growing team. As a Salesforce Developer, you will play a crucial role in implementing and customizing Salesforce from the ground up to meet the unique needs of our business. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy scalable solutions that leverage the full capabilities of the Salesforce platform

What you'll do (role and responsibilities)

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions within Salesforce.
  • Design, develop, and customize Salesforce applications, including but not limited to custom objects, workflows, process builder, validation rules, and custom Lightning components.
  • Implement integration solutions to connect Salesforce with external systems, such as Dealhub for Salesforce (Dealhub CPQ), ensuring seamless data flow and process automation.
  • Configure and maintain Salesforce features, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Community Cloud, to optimize user experience and enhance productivity.
  • Develop Apex code, Visualforce pages, integration and Lightning components to extend Salesforce functionality and address complex business requirements.
  • Perform data migrations and data cleansing activities to ensure data integrity and accuracy within Salesforce.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, customer success, and product management, to drive Salesforce adoption and support business objectives.
  • Stay updated on Salesforce best practices, industry trends, and new features to continuously improve our Salesforce instance and maximize its value to the organization.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to Administrators and contribute to knowledge sharing across the organization.

What you'll bring (required skills and experience)

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Salesforce Developer, with a strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, data model, and security model.
  • Proven experience in implementing Salesforce from initiation to deployment, preferably in a subscription-based business environment.
  • Hands-on experience with Dealhub for Salesforce (Dealhub CPQ) or similar CPQ solutions is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, SOQL, and SOSL.
  • Experience with Salesforce integration tools and techniques, such as REST/SOAP APIs, Salesforce Connect, and middleware platforms.
  • Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I/II, Salesforce Certified Administrator) are a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex business processes and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Salesforce PD1 and PD2 certifications are desirable.
