Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Senior Recruitment Consultant with proven experience in the energy, engineering, or industrial sectors. While a background in oil and gas is highly preferred, we are also open to candidates with experience across adjacent industries such as renewables, power generation, utilities, or water.
The ideal candidate will be skilled in both business development and talent acquisition—capable of building strong client relationships, generating new business opportunities, and sourcing high-quality candidates for technical and managerial roles across complex project environments.
This is a client-facing, target-driven role that requires strong communication skills, commercial acumen, and the ability to manage the full recruitment lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
- Identify, approach, and secure new clients across energy, engineering, and industrial sectors (including operators, EPCs, consultancies, fabrication yards, and service providers).
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with decision-makers, HR teams, and hiring managers.
- Understand client requirements, project scopes, and workforce needs to deliver tailored recruitment solutions.
- Prepare and deliver business proposals, service agreements, and capability presentations.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.
Recruitment & Candidate Sourcing
- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, from job intake through to offer negotiation and placement.
- Source candidates using multiple channels (LinkedIn, job boards, internal databases, networking, referrals, and direct headhunting).
- Screen, interview, and assess candidates against technical, cultural, and client requirements.
- Build and maintain a strong network of industry professionals across relevant sectors.
- Provide candidates with career guidance, interview preparation, and market insights.
Account & Process Management
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of clients, vacancies, and candidates.
- Ensure compliance with recruitment best practices, ethical standards, and applicable labor regulations.
- Consistently meet and exceed revenue, placement, and business development targets.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline (preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of recruitment experience, ideally within energy, engineering, or technical sectors.
- Proven track record in business development and client acquisition.
- Strong sourcing expertise, including headhunting and engaging passive candidates.
- Excellent negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
- Proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter and other sourcing tools.
- Strong communication skills with a professional, consultative approach.
