About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Automation Engineer with strong experience in Playwright and handson expertise in JavaScript or TypeScript. The ideal candidate will lead automation initiatives, contribute to test strategy, streamline CI/CD automation practices, and collaborate closely with crossfunctional teams. Experience in ERP or manufacturing domain environments will be an added advantage.
This is a hybrid role based in Bengaluru, offering the flexibility to balance both inoffice collaboration and remote productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust automation test suites using Playwright with JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Lead automation planning, framework enhancements, and architectural decisions.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and QA teams to ensure highquality delivery.
- Implement, optimize, and maintain automated test execution pipelines within CI/CD systems.
- Perform rootcause analysis for defects and drive test automation best practices.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to scaling automation across teams.
- Work on endtoend test coverage for web applications; ERP or manufacturing workflows is a plus.
- Ensure documentation, reporting, and communication of testing activities and results.
Qualifications
- 79 years of overall experience in software testing, with strong focus on automation.
- Handson expertise with Playwright (mandatory).
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Solid understanding of automation frameworks, debugging, and test design principles.
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Good understanding of REST APIs and API automation.
- Ability to work in agile development environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Good-to-Have Skills
- Experience in ERP, manufacturing, or supply chain systems.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
- Exposure to performance testing or security testing tools.
