Role Summary
We are seeking a
Senior Automation QA Engineer to join an engineering team responsible for validating a combination of
web, desktop, and API-based applications. The role involves a strong focus on
automation testing using Python, while also performing some manual testing.
The engineer will primarily write test scripts using
existing automation frameworks, contribute to regression, functional, API, and performance testing, and integrate automated tests into
Jenkins-based CI/CD pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement automated test scripts using Python
- Execute automated and manual tests for web, desktop, and API applications
- Develop and maintain API automation tests using Postman and Python libraries
- Create and maintain functional, regression, smoke, performance, load, and security tests
- Integrate automated tests into existing Jenkins CI/CD pipelines
- Execute tests on virtualized and containerized environments
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and provide detailed reports
- Collaborate with developers and other QA engineers to improve product quality
- Follow established automation coding standards and participate in code reviews
Required Skills & Experience
Core
- 6+ years of experience in software test automation
- Strong proficiency in Python for automation
- Experience with Selenium WebDriver
- Experience with API testing using Postman and Python
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, particularly Jenkins
- Solid understanding of software testing methodologies and SDLC
- Experience testing web, desktop, and API applications
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with performance and load testing
- Familiarity with Docker
- Experience with Git-based version control
- Experience working in virtualized test environments
