Job Title: Senior QA Automation Engineer (Network)

Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be part of the Global QA Organization, responsible for developing and maintaining automation frameworks and automated test suites for networking solutions, including embedded software, system-level platforms, and Software Defined Networking (SDN) cloud services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks and automated test cases for networking products and platforms.
- Identify software weaknesses and determine areas suitable for automation to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
- Implement and maintain automation scripts and validation tools for embedded systems, networking devices, and cloud-based SDN platforms.
- Automate testing for cloud-native SDN and network orchestration platforms, including service validation workflows.
- Ensure comprehensive test coverage for telecommunication cloud services and enterprise networking components such as switches, routers, firewalls, and SD-WAN solutions.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to execute manual and automated testing according to project schedules.
- Analyze defects and troubleshoot issues by reviewing logs, system traces, and packet captures.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of automation frameworks, QA processes, and test coverage.
- Demonstrate strong self-motivation and ownership to meet demanding project deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Work effectively with globally distributed development and QA teams.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Networking, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in software testing, system testing, test automation, or related roles.
- Experience working with enterprise networking services and systems, including service provider or enterprise-grade equipment such as switches, routers, NIDs, or MPLS-based products.
- Experience with OSS/BSS systems and automation, including TM Forum Open APIs for automated provisioning.
- Experience validating telecommunication cloud services, APIs, and workflow automation platforms.
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, protocols, and standards, including:
- MEF 3.0
- Carrier Ethernet
- MPLS
- VPLS
- BGP
- OSPF
- Strong experience building and maintaining test automation frameworks such as Robot Framework or similar tools.
- Proficiency in programming or scripting languages such as:
- Python
- Java
- Shell scripting
- Hands-on experience with REST API testing tools such as Postman or similar platforms.
- Solid experience working in Linux environments and command-line scripting.
- Experience with version control systems such as GitLab.
- Familiarity with containerized environments including:
- Docker
- Kubernetes

- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, including:
- Agile development
- Test case design
- Defect tracking

- Experience with test management and issue tracking tools, such as:
