Duties & Responsibilities
- Design, development, and deployment of Power BI dashboards and reports
- Expertise in SQL based data models and queries
- Create advanced Excel reports and visualizations using pivot tables, Power Pivot, and cube functions
- Build and maintain OLAP cube connections for Excel-based analysis
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance across reporting systems
- Follow best practices for Power BI and Excel reporting, governance, and version control
- Stay current with BI trends and recommend tools and techniques to enhance reporting capabilities
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- 4+ years of experience in business intelligence, data engineering, or analytics
- Expert-level proficiency in Power BI (DAX, Power Query, data modeling, visualization)
- Advanced SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and performance tuning
- Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, Power Pivot, cube formulas, and OLAP integration
- Experience working with large datasets and complex data environments
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to lead projects and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git / SVN
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and tools (e.g., Snowflake)
- Knowledge of Python or R for data analysis
- Certification in Power BI, Excel, or related technologies
