We are seeking a highly accomplished Senior Platform Lead to architect, scale, and drive the evolution of our core platform infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in backend engineering with Node.js, PostgreSQL, and Elasticsearch, complemented by working knowledge of React/React Native to enable seamless collaboration across full-stack teams. You should have recent working experience in Node.js writing REST APIs or server-side scripts and programs.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop efficient and reusable Node.js modules and microservices.
- Working experience with Node.js, relational databases, NoSQL databases, SQL queries, and any major cloud service (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Knowledge of other server-side languages and programming frameworks is a huge plus.
- Architect and optimize data models and complex queries in PostgreSQL.
- Design and manage advanced search architectures using Elasticsearch.
- Own CI/CD pipelines, deployment strategies, and DevOps alignment.
- Collaborate with frontend teams (React / React Native) to ensure API consistency and seamless integrations.
- Implement security and data protection measures.
- Design and implement data storage solutions.
- Build robust APIs to support a wide variety of applications.
- Lead the design and development of scalable, secure, and high-availability backend systems using Node.js .
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in any engineering or computer course.
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong expertise in Node.js and asynchronous programming patterns.
- Advanced proficiency in PostgreSQL (query optimization, indexing, and schema design).
- Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch (cluster management, indexing strategies, and search optimization).
- Working knowledge of React or React Native.
- Experience designing RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, caching strategies, and performance optimization.
