Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Medical Coder located in Bengaluru South. The Senior Medical Coder will be responsible for accurately interpreting medical documentation and converting it into standardized medical codes. Responsibilities include reviewing patient records, ensuring compliance with coding standards and guidelines, verifying medical codes for accuracy, and working with healthcare providers to clarify documentation. This role also encompasses mentoring junior team members and contributing to the continuous improvement of coding processes.

Qualifications

• Proven Medical Coding experience and proficiency in coding systems
• Knowledge of medical terminology and regulatory guidelines relevant to coding
• Certification in CCS and other or related qualifications
• Expertise in Medical coding
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for accurate coding and documentation
• Excellent communication and the ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals
• Knowledge of healthcare compliance and reimbursement processes
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems is a plus
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, or a related field
