Job Description Mechanical Design Engineer

Experience: 6+ Years of Experience
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and create innovative mechanical concepts and designs based on client requirements, technical specifications, and industry standards.
- Lead the concept design phase and convert ideas or rough sketches into detailed 3D models using CAD tools such as Solid Edge, SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, or AutoCAD.
- Conduct feasibility studies including stress analysis, material selection, tolerance stack-ups, and cost estimation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teamsmanufacturing, production, and qualityto ensure designs are practical and production-ready.
- Generate detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and documentation required for manufacturing and assembly.
- Perform design reviews, identify potential risks, and implement corrective improvements.
- Stay updated on emerging industry trends, technologies, and best practices to ensure designs remain competitive.
- Provide engineering support during prototype development, testing, and validation stages.
- Prepare and present design proposals, reports, and technical documentation to clients and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Required Skills & Experience
- 512 years of experience in mechanical design, with strong exposure to concept design.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Solid Edge, or equivalent tools.
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes.
- Hands-on experience with FEA (Finite Element Analysis), simulation tools, and validation methods.
- Creative problem-solving skills with the ability to develop innovative and efficient solutions.
- Excellent attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy in design work.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
