To lead and manage global sourcing strategies for new product development initiatives, ensuring timely procurement of high-quality materials and services while optimizing cost, compliance, and supplier performance
Key Result Areas
- Onboard compliant and cost-effective suppliers for APIs, excipients, and packaging materials; ensure GMP, regulatory, and sustainability standards are met.
- Achieve targeted cost savings through strategic sourcing, negotiation, and value engineering during product development.
- Develop and execute sourcing plans aligned with NPD timelines; support early-stage development with rapid supplier engagement.
- Partner with R&D, Regulatory, and Quality teams to ensure sourcing supports product specs and compliance; facilitate tech transfers and scale-up.
- Identify and mitigate sourcing risks (geopolitical, regulatory, supply disruptions); maintain alternate sourcing strategies.
- Ensure all sourcing activities comply with internal SOPs and external regulations; maintain documentation for audits and submissions.
- Monitor supplier KPIs (OTIF, quality, responsiveness); conduct audits and drive continuous improvement.
- Scout for innovative sourcing solutions; stay updated on global market trends, pricing shifts, and regulatory changes.

- Monitor supplier performance and conduct audits for GMP and sustainability adherence.
- Mitigate risks related to international sourcing — geopolitical, logistical, and regulatory.
- Support cross-functional teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
