About Us
Role Purpose:
The Senior Manager, Fundraising will be responsible for leading strategic fundraising initiatives, cultivating high-value partnerships, and driving revenue growth to support the organisation's mission. Building on our existing portfolio, this role will focus on donor scouting and stewardship - leading to multi-year funding relationships with institutional donors, corporates, high-net-worth individuals, and philanthropic foundations.
Key Responsibilities
- Fundraising
- Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy aligned to organisational priorities
- Identify new revenue streams, diversify funding sources and focus on generating new funds for the organisation
- Lead the development and submission of critical grant proposals, ensuring alignment with funder priorities and internal strategy
- Donor Cultivation & Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with institutional donors, corporate CSR teams and philanthropic foundations.
- Represent the organisation at donor meetings, networking events, and sector forums.
- Oversee timely and high-quality donor stewardship activities.
- Donor Communications:
- Work with the communications team to design communication strategies to position Quest as a thought leader with existing and potential donors
- Enable visibility and celebration of grants and their impact effectively through internal and external channels
- Anchor events and spaces that enable network activation and engage with Funding partners
- Collaboration and Leadership:
- Work closely with the Executive team, and other staff members to align fundraising efforts with the overall organizational and program strategy.
- Build connections, networks with potential donors
- Pitch Quest's work to potential donors and be able to have strategic conversations in line with Quest priority areas
- Represent Quest in forums, events, networking conferences and be a spokesperson for Quest's work

- Use data, feedback, field insights, and reflection to improve the quality and impact of work.
- Actively engage in self-learning, knowledge sharing, and capability building for self and others.
- Document learnings, surface emerging opportunities or risks, and contribute to a culture of experimentation, adaptation, and continuous improvement.
- Operational Excellence, Compliance & Professional Growth
- Ensure adherence to organisational policies, financial procedures, systems, and reporting requirements.
- Participate actively in team reviews, planning processes, staff engagement activities, and performance management processes.
- Take ownership of personal learning goals and continuously build capabilities to improve programme effectiveness and professional growth.
Required Experiences & Skills
- 10+ years of experience, min 5 years in Fundraising and Business Development within Indian Non-profit and social impact organizations
- Strong portfolio of work with Institutional donors and other categories of revene sources
- Ability to have strategic and big picture conversations with funders
- Can work independently and is a go-getter and enjoys interacting with Indian and overseas philanthropy
- Can deal with ambiguity and proactively explore solutions
- Passion for and understanding about the challenges India is facing in education and employability domain
Salary
The pay band for the position starts at Rs. 1,25,000 /- per month (cost to company) (
The salary offered will be commensurate with the experience and expertise of the candidate)
