Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the organizations goals.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making by senior management.
- Lead the annual budgeting process, including forecasting and long-term financial planning.
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate financial statements and reports.
- Monitor financial performance, conduct variance analysis, and provide actionable insights to improve profitability and cost-efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards (GAAP, IFRS) and local regulatory requirements.
- Experience in handling transfer pricing, International transactions/taxation is a added advantage
Accounting and Compliance:
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
- Coordinate and manage internal and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws, regulatory filings, and financial reporting requirements.
Cash Flow and Treasury Management:
- Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and working capital management.
- Optimize the companys capital structure and manage relationships with financial institutions, including debt financing and credit facilities.
- Oversee investment strategies and risk management to safeguard company assets.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
- Provide guidance on complex financial issues, accounting principles, and best practices.
- Ensure the finance team is equipped with the necessary tools and knowledge to perform effectively.
Cost Management and Efficiency:
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives and efficiency improvements across the organization.
- Collaborate with department heads to review budgets, control expenses, and optimize resource allocation.
Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and ensure alignment between finance and other departments.
- Maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, tax authorities, and financial partners.
Technology and Systems Improvement:
- Leverage financial management systems and tools to streamline operations and improve reporting accuracy and efficiency. Knowledge and working experience in ZOHO is an added advantage.
- Stay updated on emerging financial technologies and recommend system upgrades to enhance efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Chartered accountant with a minimum three years of experience in a controllership role.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards (GAAP, IFRS) and regulatory requirements.
- Proven experience in financial planning, analysis, and forecasting.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop talent.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior management.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems. Working knowledge of ZOHO books is an added advantage
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strategic mindset.
