At Myntra, We're looking for an enthusiastic engineering leader to join our dynamic team. If you thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and are passionate about growing and empowering engineering teams, this is the perfect opportunity for you!In this role as a Senior Engineering Manager, you will be instrumental in building and scaling the core checkout and transactions funnel and you won't just be a manager; you'll be a technical leader and a mentor. You'll be expected to stay hands-on with the code, guiding your team through complex technical challenges and setting a high standard for engineering excellence. What You'll Do Lead and Inspire: Manage a team of talented engineers, fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Architect and Innovate: Drive the technical roadmap for our checkout and payments systems, making critical decisions on architecture and design to ensure performance, reliability, and security. Ensure Reliability: Take ownership of the core transactions funnel, monitoring performance, and leading incident response to maintain high-uptime and a seamless user experience. Collaborate and Strategize: Partner with product managers and other engineering leaders to define project scope, prioritize features, and deliver impactful solutions that meet business goals.Required Skills & QualificationsStrong Technical Acumen:
7+ years of hands-on experience in Java development.
Deep expertise in backend engineering, including designing and building highly scalable, distributed systems.
Proficiency with MySQL or other relational databases, with a strong understanding of database design, optimization, and query performance.Leadership Experience:
Proven experience in a leadership role, managing and mentoring a team of engineers.
Experience with the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), including agile methodologies, CI/CD, and DevOps principles.Problem-Solving:
A track record of solving complex technical problems and a pragmatic approach to system design and implementation.Strong Assets:
Prior experience working with fintech systems, payments gateways, or e-commerce checkout flows is a significant advantage.
Experience with security best practices related to handling sensitive financial data.
