Why this role matters
As Senior Software Engineering Manager, you'll play a central role in coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver our unified endpoint management solutions for IT departments around the world. Your leadership will set direction, drive collaboration with teams in India and the US, and shape how customers experience Ivanti's cutting-edge products. What you'll do
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing product development team in India.
- Set clear goals and strategic vision for your team, aligned to company objectives.
- Deliver reliable, high-performance products: Oversee coding, validating, debugging, and operational excellence.
- Manage project timelines: Use Agile practices to move ideas from concept to production.
- Champion quality: Ensure robust code via unit and integration testing and automation.
- Collaborate globally: Partner with colleagues in the US and across Ivanti to achieve shared goals.
- Recruit, hire, and onboard junior team members; foster a supportive, inclusive culture.
- Promote Ivanti core values: Champion inclusion, learning, and innovation at every step.
What you will bring
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related engineering field.
- 10+ years of experience in Microsoft Windows software development.
- 10+ years as an engineering manager, mentoring and developing teams.
- Strong expertise in object-oriented programming (C# or C++), Windows (Win32 & .NET).
- Proven problem-solver, collaborator, and communicator.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL, Visual Studio, and Agile frameworks (Scrum or Kanban).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Azure DevOps for tracking work items, bugs, and tests.
- Background in unit testing and automation.
Nice-to-have
- 2+ years with Cloud/SaaS (Azure or AWS).
- Experience with Linux application development, IIS, Web Services, Jira, XML, JSON, HTML/CSS, TLS, git, GitHub, secure development.
- Multilingual, or experience working in global teams.
