Your Role And Responsibilities
As a Software Development Manager: CloudPaks, you will be responsible for the operations management of Software Development. This role requires in-depth operational and administrative knowledge to manage day-to-day activities. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Develop and Administer Budgets: Develop and administer development expense and support (cost) budgets, ensuring effective financial management and budget attainment.
- Manage Processes: Oversee the management of processes, including IPD, quality assurance, business controls, and procedures, to ensure satisfactory audits and client satisfaction.
- Ensure Customer Satisfaction: Deploy and maintain high client satisfaction ratings through effective deployment and plan administration.
- Integrate Middleware Software: Integrate middleware software packages, programs, and reusable objects residing on multiple platforms, utilizing in-depth knowledge of middleware software.
- Drive Operational Performance: Drive operational performance, measured by customer satisfaction, and satisfactory audits, to achieve business objectives.
Manage a team of 20+ people to deliver different Cloudpak Applications for Linux One and Linux on Z Systems.
Personally oversee the development and deployment of large language models (LLMs) in production environments, demonstrating knowhow on process optimization to increase efficiency of the production environments including DevOps pipelines.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate DevOps pipelines and Test Automation frameworks with CI/CD tools for continuous integration and deployment, taking a hands-on approach to ensure seamless integration and efficiency.
Proactively stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI and Cloud based technologies
Effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, showcasing excellent communication and interpersonal skills while leading discussions and decision-making processes.
Uphold industry best practices and standards in AI engineering under your direct leadership, maintaining unwavering standards of code quality, performance, and security throughout the development lifecycle.

Required Technical And Professional Expertise
- Demonstrated leadership with around 15 plus years of experience in the systems industry. Should have experience exclusively in leading teams of 15-30 people. Proven ability to lead teams and take ownership of end-to-end activities.
- Ability to understand AI solutions and lead complex Cloud based and AI missions.
- Strong working experience in the big endian systems, network concepts, GPUs.
- Strong grounding in Cloud based technologies, with the capacity to guide and mentor team members.
- Experience in Generative AI is highly advantageous, with the ability to provide leadership and direction in exploring innovative AI techniques.
- Familiarity with processes for open-source contribution, exhibiting leadership by actively participating in and guiding team members towards contributions to open-source projects and frameworks.
- Middleware Software Integration: Experience with integrating middleware software packages, programs, and reusable objects residing on multiple platforms, with in-depth knowledge of middleware software.
- Operations Management: Experience in managing day-to-day activities, including revenue, expense control, and profit performance, with a focus on effective financial management and budget attainment.
Process Administration: Experience with overseeing the management of processes, including IPD, quality assurance, business controls, and procedures, to ensure satisfactory audits and client satisfaction
- Multi-Platform Deployment: Experience with deploying and maintaining middleware software on multiple platforms, with a focus on achieving high client satisfaction ratings.
