Essential Job Functions
- Own key areas of the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process; including preparing, reviewing, and posting journal entries (accruals, deferrals, prepaids, etc.).
- Perform customer contract interpretation under ASC 606: identify performance obligations, determine transaction price (including variable consideration), allocate to performance obligations, and assess timing of revenue recognition. Implement and monitor deferred revenue, unbilled bonus and staffing income accruals, contract assets/liabilities, and revenue cut-off procedures.
- Close Revenue by BD 3 of the month with no exceptions.
- Establish new or enhance existing client cost models for scalability, to be updated monthly for Operations team.
- Oversee end-to-end Order-to-Cash and Revenue Accounting (contract review, order entry, billing, AR, and cash management).
- Manage and prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements based on cost center and full firm hierarchy structure, as well as management reports and analytical schedules including P&L variance analysis, balance sheet reviews, AR aging trends, and unbilled and deferred revenue roll forwards.
- Perform and review balance sheet reconciliations (AR, unbilled revenue, deferred revenue, accrued liabilities, sales tax) and resolve reconciling items promptly.
- Support departmental initiatives related to process documentation, system implementations, and functionality enhancements.
- Support Management and Global Controller with Ad Hoc projects, including management reporting, KPIs, and dashboard reporting to provide actionable insights for decision-making.
- Identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes, enhance controls, and automate manual tasks.
- Participate in system enhancements, reporting upgrades, and processoptimization initiatives.
- Such other activities as may be assigned by your manager, including ad hoc projects and reporting.
Qualifications/ Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting (CA Intermediate/ ICWA/ MBA Finance Preferred)
- The qualified candidate would be a self-starter, team player and possess an accounting/finance background with 8+years of experience.
- Minimum of 8+ years of industry and/or relevant experience, typically with 3+ years in a manager level role or external equivalent.
- Working experience of US GAAP and ASC 606 of 1+ years.
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with ERP systems and billing/revenue tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to effectively work with different levels across the organization.
- Ability to create and automate highly scalable reports based on key parameters.
- Excellent documentation skills for technical memos, reconciliations, and controls.
- Strong analytical ability, good judgment, strategic and multidimensional thinker with a continuous improvement orientation.
- High ownership, detail orientation, organized, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrate professional behavior and teamwork, punctual, dependable and adhere to company policies and procedures.

The annual full time base salary range for this role is
1.00 - 1.00
Specific compensation is determined through interviews and a review of relevant education, experience, training, skills, geographic location and alignment with market data. Additionally, certain positions may be eligible to receive a discretionary bonus as determined by bonus program guidelines, position eligibility and SitusAMC Senior Management approval.
