About The Role
You'll be the legal architect behind our global scaledesigning contracts, governance, and compliance frameworks that let an AI-first company grow fast without breaking things. From U.S. SaaS deals to AI data governance and cross-border structuring, your work will directly enable revenue, partnerships, and trust.
You'll operate close to founders, think commercially, and navigate the grey zones of AI, data, and cross-border law.
What You'll Own
US & Cross-Border Contracts
Draft, review, and negotiate SaaS agreements, MSAs, and SOWs for the U.S. entity
Manage vendor, partnership, and employment contracts across U.S. and India
Own the full contract lifecyclefrom negotiation to execution
AI, Data Privacy & Governance
Draft and maintain Privacy Policies, Terms of Service, and DPAs for AI products
Address AI-specific issues: LLM data usage, output IP, bias, safety, and liability
Ensure compliance with GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and India DPDP Act
Corporate & Compliance
Coordinate with U.S. counsel on Delaware filings, board actions, and governance
Manage inter-company agreements (IP assignment, transfer pricing, cost sharing)
Oversee ESOP administration for Indian employees under U.S. plans
IP & Open Source
Protect core AI IP through assignments, NDAs, and licensing
Advise on open-source usage and third-party AI/API contracts
Must-Have
LL.B. or LL.M. from a Tier-1 law school
46 years of experience (law firm + in-house preferred)
Strong exposure to U.S. / cross-border commercial agreements
Excellent legal drafting with a business-first mindset
Comfort with AI, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and SaaS concepts
