Role Overview
As a Senior Interior Designer at Hipcouch, you will be the creative and technical anchor for our most ambitious residential and commercial projects. You will lead projects from the initial dream phase through to the final handover styling.
Key Responsibilities
- Design Leadership: Lead the end-to-end design process, creating mood boards, 2D layouts, and overseeing high-quality 3D visualizations.
- Client Management: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, translating their vague Pinterest boards into functional, high-end designs while managing expectations regarding timelines and budgets.
- Technical Excellence: Develop and review comprehensive GFC (Good For Construction) drawings, including electrical, plumbing, RCP, and detailed carpentry drawings.
- Project Oversight: Collaborate closely with our project managers and site supervisors to ensure the design is executed with millimeter precision.
- Vendor & Material Sourcing: Lead the selection of finishes, materials, furniture, and lighting.
- Mentorship: Guide junior designers, ensuring the Hipcouch standard of quality is maintained across all design deliverables.
What We're Looking For
- Experience: 69 years of experience in interior design, specifically within the Mumbai market (residential experience is a must).
- Software Proficiency: Expert-level skills in AutoCAD, SketchUp.
- Execution Knowledge: You know how things are built.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. You need to be able to pitch a design to a CEO and negotiate with a carpenter on-site in the same afternoon.
- Education: A Degree or Diploma in Interior Design or Architecture from a reputed institute.
