Brief:

A Senior Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing an organization's financial health, leading finance operations, and providing strategic guidance to support business goals and compliance with regulations. This role involves managing accounting systems, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and risk management, while supervising finance staff and providing leadership for internal teams

Core Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, reporting, and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  2. Prepare, analyze, and present financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP and other standards
  3. Lead organizational cash flow forecasting and financial modeling in partnership with department heads
  4. Manage and track the performance of invested assets according to established policies and guidelines
  5. Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures
  6. Provide support for audit functions, liaising with auditors and preparing documentation for reviews
  7. Identify cost-saving initiatives and opportunities to increase profits through financial analysis and strategy.
  8. Support mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence and financial integration activities
  9. Foster cooperation and communication between finance teams, internal departments, and external stakeholders
  10. Provide training and leadership development opportunities to finance staff, promoting a positive work environment
  11. Advise senior management on financial issues, risks, and strategies to achieve organizational goals

Qualifications and Skills

Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Commerce, or related field; professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, CGA, CMA) preferred

Deep understanding of financial reporting standards (such as GAAP or IFRS) and statutory requirements

Expertise in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and corporate finance activities

Strong leadership and team-building capabilities to motivate and develop finance staff

High proficiency in accounting software and financial modeling tools

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills for interacting with internal and external
