Position Summary

The Senior Executive, Financial Reporting & Control (Transfer Pricing) plays a critical role in the global Transfer Pricing Centre of Excellence (CoE) supporting LSEG's central allocation models. This position carries advanced responsibility for handling complex cost allocation processes, delivering endtoend model runs, validating large datasets, ensuring robust control frameworks, and supporting global stakeholders across 3 main divisions with the organization, D&A, Capital Markets & Post Trade.

The team currently supports over 100+ entities and accounts for over $6Bn value of transactions. The role requires deep analytical capability, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to independently handle highcomplexity recurring and adhoc deliverables. The Senior Executive serves as a technical expert for the BSL Technology allocation model and is expected to take ownership of delivering the TCO-Transfer pricing model when implemented. Following the transition, the role may further expand to include responsibility for delivering the Operations Model, ensuring seamless deployment of the future operating framework.

The role reports to the Associate Manager.

Role Responsibilities

  • Lead the endtoend execution of the BSL Technology Recharge Model, including monthly runs, costbase preparation, driver development, reconciliations, and output validation.
  • Prepare, validate, and maintain largescale cost and driver datasets (infrastructure, cloud, application-level inputs), ensuring accuracy, integrity, and robust control checks.
  • Drive the annual budgeting cycle for technology recharges, including costbase buildout, version control, stakeholder alignment, and model execution.
  • Deliver variance analysis comparing budget, forecast, and actuals, highlighting movements, drivers, and implications for senior managers.
  • Strengthen data governance and control frameworks, designing and enhancing validation routines, documentation standards, and auditready processes.
  • Handle complex adhoc requests and statutory audit queries, providing timely, accurate explanations of model logic, data flows, variances, and control mechanisms.
  • Collaborate closely with global Finance, FP&A, Technology, and Corporate teams to collect inputs, align assumptions, and communicate outputs effectively.
  • Identify and implement operational improvements, streamlining working files, introducing stronger control points, and enhancing efficiency across monthly and annual cycles.
  • Build and maintain comprehensive process documentation, ensuring clarity, visibility, business continuity, and seamless knowledge transfer.
  • Provide training and technical guidance to team members and new joiners on model logic, data management, processes, and control frameworks.
  • Assume operational ownership of the TCO- Transfer pricing model for Technology Recharge allocation upon implementation, including costbase preparation, driver creation, model execution, and stakeholder engagement.

Department's Role

The Centre of Excellence is one of two centers based in Bangalore, India and Colombo, Sri Lanka. Providing the finance support and processing needs for LSEG Globally. Activities include supplier invoice processing and payment, employee expenses, cash management, Treasury Operations, Intergroup accounting, financial and Statutory accounting, management reporting, local compliance, and fixed asset responsibilities.

Key Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in General Accounting, transfer pricing/international tax or related fields.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Following a Professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CFA, CIMA).
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and data interpretation. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in handling large volumes of data efficiently and effectively along with adequate control checks.
  • Proficiency in use of advanced excel such as Power Query and Power Pivots for data modeling.
  • PowerBI & SQL language knowledge is additional advantage.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
  • Sound judgment and ability to make informed decisions in complex transfer pricing scenarios.
  • Proficiency in using financial software, ERP systems (SAP/Oracle), and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Understanding of SOX & IFRS will be an advantage.
  • Understanding of end-to-end accounting processes.
  • Proven ability to learn and adapt quickly.
  • Comfortable with working autonomously.
  • Strong work ethic and team spirit.
  • Ability to work in UK hours (Hybrid working)
