Role Overview

We're hiring a Senior Engineering Manager to lead and scale core engineering initiatives at Osto. This role requires a strong technical leader who can balance hands-on contribution with team management in a fast paced startup environment.

You'll work closely with founders and engineering teams to drive execution, scalability, and product quality across the platform.

What You'll Do

• Be the engineering multiplier – lead a team that builds secure, scalable, production-grade systems that don'tBlink when the world throws traffic at them.
• Code with your name on it – stay hands-on with 30% individual contribution across backend, architecture, and the kind of gnarly technical problems that keep CTOs awake at night.
• Ship like you own the repo – because you do. Every commit, every merge, every late-night deploy is a personal signature.
• Build systems that scale like crazy – billions of requests, zero drama, no oops moments. If it can't handle the internet going wild, it's not done.
• Think AI-native, not AI-added – you've built products where AI is part of the core workflow, whether that means agents, LLM-powered features, ML-driven decisioning, security automation, or intelligent copilots embedded into the product experience.
• Hire only A+ players – no passengers, no maybe later, no we'll figure it out. You build a team that crushes hard problems and lifts everyone higher.
• Champion high standards + velocity – push for quality, but know when speed beats perfection. You ship fast, but not sloppy.
• Partner with founders like a co-pilot – move fast, make trade-offs, and turn big hairy goals into shipped reality.
• Create a culture that actually rocks – a place where people love the work, move fast, deliver real outcomes, and don't dread Monday mornings..

You Might Be a Great Fit If:

• You have 7+ years of engineering experience, including some part of that experience leading high-performing teams.
• Have shipped complex, high-impact products in fast-moving environments.
• Hold strong opinions on architecture, quality, and the speed vs. scale tradeoff.
• Mastery of classic & modern stack (React Golang, Rust/C++, Azure/AWS - you get it).
• Have fully embraced AI and are regularly pushing PRs.
• Have sharp product instincts, you ask why before how.
• Thrive in scrappy environments and know how to do more with less.
• Enjoy engaging directly with customers and learning from them.
• Experience (or strong interest) in cybersecurity, SaaS infrastructure, or complex B2B product environments.
• Preferred if you've led a team during a holy sh*t we're growing fast phase.
