Senior Engineering Manager

Job Responsibilities:

• Leadership in managing technical teams.
• Proficiency in Node.js, Java, or a comparable programming language.
• Experience in leading the development and operational maintenance of highly scalable, distributed systems, microservices, relational databases like MySQL, as well as in building sophisticated RESTful web services.
• Proven track record in the design, development, and support of enterprise-level, mission critical systems that directly affect users.
• Outstanding cross-functional collaboration skills, possessing a proven track record of aligning team efforts towards shared objectives and promoting team cohesion.
• Effective conflict management skills, demonstrating the ability to navigate and resolve disputes thoughtfully and constructively.
• In-depth familiarity with engineering procedures and best practices across all stages of the software development lifecycle.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, exhibiting confidence in documenting and presenting design processes and decisions. Actively engages in design reviews.
• A history of mentoring and growing engineers to success.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10 to 12 years of experience in software development and architecture.
• 2+ years of experience as engineering manager, including fostering a team wellbeing and professional growth.

Required Skills:

• Understanding of frameworks like Next.js, Nest.js, PHP, Laravel.
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of SAST (e.g., SonarQube, Snyk etc), DAST (e.g., Checkmarks etc) is good to have.
• Any SQL/NoSQL database champion.
