Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Software Engineer with expertise in TPF (Transaction Processing Facility) to lead design, development, and optimization of mission-critical applications.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in airline/transportation, financial services, or other high-volume transaction domains leveraging TPF, along with proven leadership in guiding technical teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead end-to-end design, development, testing, and deployment of TPF-based applications. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of software engineers. Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions. Optimize TPF applications for performance, scalability, and reliability in high-transaction environments. Manage code reviews, enforce best practices, and ensure compliance with security standards. Drive modernization initiatives including integration with distributed platforms, APIs, and cloud-based systems. Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and ensure timely resolution. Contribute to technical roadmaps, architecture decisions, and innovation initiatives. --- Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 3+ years of experience in software development with strong expertise in TPF. Proficiency in Assembler, C/C++, TPFDF, z/TPF, and related tools. Experience in designing large-scale, high-transaction systems. Strong problem-solving, debugging, and performance tuning skills. Proven leadership in guiding teams, setting priorities, and managing deliverables. Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. --- Preferred Skills: Knowledge of airline/financial domain systems (PNR, ticketing, reservations, payments, etc.). Experience integrating TPF with API gateways, distributed systems, or microservices. Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and DevOps practices. Familiarity with modern programming languages (Java, Python, Go, etc.) for hybrid system integration.
