Senior Dynamics 365 Technical Support & Architecture Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking anexperienced Senior Dynamics 365 Technical Support Engineerwithstrong architecture and development capabilitiesto support, stabilize, and evolve a large‑scale enterprise Dynamics 365 CRM platform.

This role sits at theintersection of L2/L3 production support, solution architecture, and hands‑on technical development. The ideal candidate will not only resolve complex production issues but alsodesign, build, and improve D365 solutions to prevent recurrence and improve platform resilience.

This is asenior, hands‑on rolerequiring deep technical ownership, architectural thinking, and the ability to operate confidently inbusiness‑critical, high‑visibility environments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Advanced D365 Production Support (L2 / L3 Ownership)

  • Own and resolvecomplex, high‑impact Dynamics 365 incidentsacross core CRM entities includingAccounts, Contacts, Opportunities, Agreements, CIF, and custom entities.
  • Act as thefinal technical escalation pointfor support issues prior to engineering involvement.
  • Perform deep root‑cause analysis (RCA) across:
    • Data integrity issues
    • Business rule and validation failures
    • Security role and access issues
    • Integration and synchronization failures
  • Ensure issues are not just resolved, butsystemically addressedthrough design or configuration improvements.

2. D365 Architecture & Solution Design

  • Contribute to and influenceDynamics 365 solution architecture, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.
  • Design and review:
    • Entity and Dataverse data models
    • Security role hierarchies and access models
    • Business process flows and automation patterns
  • Partner with product and engineering teams totranslate business requirements into robust D365 technical designs.
  • Ensure architectural alignment with enterprise standards and governance.

3. Development & Customization

  • Performhands‑on development and customizationwithin the D365 ecosystem, including:
    • Custom plugins and extensions using.NET / C#
    • Workflows, business rules, andPower Automate flows
    • Form, view, and UI customizations
  • Debug and support existing custom code and configurations in production and non‑production environments.
  • Contribute topreventive engineeringby improving validation logic, error handling, and automation.

4. Power Platform & Azure Integrations

  • Support and enhance integrations between D365 and enterprise systems using:
    • Power Platform(Power Automate, Power Apps)
    • Azure Logic Apps, Service Bus, Azure Functions
  • Troubleshoot integration failures, data latency issues, and interface errors.
  • Collaborate with integration and platform teams on long‑term reliability and performance improvements.

5. Data Remediation & Platform Stability

  • Executecontrolled data fixes and clean‑up activitiesin alignment with data governance standards.
  • Handle complex scenarios involving:
    • Invalid or incomplete records
    • Orphaned or inconsistent CRM data
  • Proactively identify data and design patterns that lead to production issues and propose corrective actions.

6. Release, Hypercare & Operational Excellence

  • Actively supportD365 Hypercare and transformation program releases, including critical business windows (month‑end, quarter‑end).
  • Participate in release validation, regression testing, and post‑deployment stabilization.
  • Improvesupport processes, runbooks, and operational documentationto raise platform maturity.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to overall team technical capability.

Required Skills & Experience

Experience

  • 8-12+ yearsof overall IT experience with5+ years of hands‑on Microsoft Dynamics 365 (CE / CRM)experience.
  • Proven background inL2/L3 enterprise application supportwith ownership of production systems.
  • Demonstrated experience working closely withengineering, architecture, and product teams.

Core Dynamics 365 & Architecture Skills

  • Strong understanding ofDynamics 365 architecture and Dataverse fundamentals
  • Expertise in:
    • Entity modeling and relationships
    • Security roles, business units, and access control
    • Business process flows and automation
  • Experience designingscalable and supportable D365 solutions.

Development & Integration Skills

  • Hands‑on experience with:
    • Custom plugin development (C#, .NET)
    • Power Automate and Power Platform integrations
    • Azure integration patterns (Logic Apps, Service Bus, Functions)
  • Ability to debug complex technical issues across application, data, and integration layers.

ALM & Quality Practices

  • Understanding ofALM / CI‑CD practices for Dynamics 365
  • Experience supporting deployments, hotfixes, and environment promotions.
  • Strong RCA, documentation, and operational discipline.

Soft Skills & Seniority Expectations

  • Strong ownership mindset with the ability to operate independently in high‑pressure environments.
  • Excellent communication skills - able to translate complex technical issues for business stakeholders.
  • Architectural and preventive mindset - focused onlong‑term platform health, not just ticket closure.
  • Comfortable mentoring others and influencing technical direction.
