Job Description for DevOps Engineer :
1.
Manage build and deployments for all the lower environments (Jenkins, Shell Scripts, Linux, Tomcat, Maven, Apache, Ant, Docker)
2.
Manage Deployments for Production (Linux, Shell Scripts, AWS)
3.
Work closely with the onsite teams and support during US Pacific Timezone on a rotation basis.
4.
Administer all servers databases in the lower environments like:
a) Oracle DB Administration, SQL, SQL Plus b) Linux System Administration
5.
Handle site Reliability including:a) Pager Duty b) Debug and identify the problem, provide a temporary fix, apply SQL fixes.c) Java, Linux, Shell Scripts, Oracle Databased) Hands-on troubleshooting skills to Investigate and resolve technical issues, provide production L2 support.
6.
Manage AWS services such as:a) EC2, Elastic Beanstalk, S3, CloudFront, RDS, EKS, Redis, etc. b) MySQL, PostgreSQL DB
7.
Handle scheduled Jobs such as:a) Scheduled (Cron) jobs maintenance b) Periodic checks of UAT file systems on AWS (App Storage, S3 Storage)
8.
Manage Observability as follows:a) Datadog ,Honeycombb) Raw Logs (scripts to output required data from the logs)c) Setting up monitoring alert triggers d) ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) used for lower environment.
9.
Miscellaneous Tasks: a) Shrink Database - Understand and run the database scripts weekly b) Database Refresh - Understand scripts to run/modify/maintain DB refresh scripts c) Scripts for data exchange with external systemsd) AWS Cost Managemente) Kaltura managementf) Scripts for Auditing purposesg) Docker knowledge to manage serverse) F5 Load Balancer (For production and UAT)f) A10 (For TEST)
Mandatory Requirements:
1. Ability to handle technical tasks independently.2. Must be strong at scripting, SQL and troubleshooting skills3. Must be a team player supporting US onsite teams overlapping with PST timezone on a rotation basis.4. Effective time management to meet deadlines and technical specifications.
5. Ensuring requirements are adequately defined. 6. Collaborate with onsite development team.
7. Good writing and Communication Skills are essential.
