Senior DevOps Engineer

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and manage scalable infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud platforms, automation, containerization, monitoring, and security. This role requires hands-on expertise, leadership qualities, and the ability to collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
- Manage infrastructure as code (IaC) with Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Deploy, monitor, and optimize applications in cloud environments (AWS / Azure / GCP).
- Implement and manage containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm).
- Ensure system reliability, scalability, and high availability.
- Monitor performance using logging/monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk, CloudWatch).
- Implement DevSecOps practices security scanning, vulnerability management, secrets management.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, deployment, and performance issues.
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure smooth software delivery.
- Drive best practices in automation, cloud governance, cost optimization, and incident management.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to process improvements.
Required Skills & Experience
- 610 years of strong DevOps/SRE experience.
- Hands-on expertise in one or more cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Solid knowledge of CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitLab, Bamboo, Azure DevOps, or equivalent.
- Proficiency with IaC tools: Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
- Strong background in Linux/Unix administration and shell scripting.
- Hands-on with containers & orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, OpenShift.
- Experience with monitoring/logging tools: Prometheus, ELK/EFK stack, Grafana, Splunk.
- Knowledge of networking concepts, load balancing, firewalls, DNS, SSL/TLS.
- Familiarity with security practices (SAST, DAST, vulnerability management).
- Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language (Python, Bash, Go, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications in AWS / Azure / GCP DevOps.
- Experience with microservices architecture and service mesh (Istio, Linkerd).
- Exposure to hybrid cloud / multi-cloud environments.
- Knowledge of FinOps / cost optimization best practices.
- Prior experience leading small teams or mentoring juniors.
