Who We Are

We are a 14-year-old Creative Shop behind some well-known consumer brands. 

At Rasta, we build from scratch, from strategy to execution. 

The Role

We're looking for a wordsmith who thinks in ideas, not just sentences. Someone who knows that great copy isn't about clever lines but about the right line, in the right voice, for the right moment.

As a Senior Copywriter at Rasta, you'll own the craft end-to-end: conceptualizing, writing, presenting, and publishing across formats and media. You'll work across a portfolio of brands,  each with its own tone, audience, and ambition. The ability to shift registers without losing sharpness is non-negotiable.

This is not a pure execution role. You'll be expected to bring strategic thinking to briefs, a cultural antenna to trend-spotting, and enough screen presence to sell ideas with confidence.

What You'll Do

Craft & Technique

  • Write across formats: Viral video  scripts, social captions, digital ads, print, branded editorial, packaging, thought leadership, and more
  • Concept from scratch, with insight and cultural relevance at the core
  • Switch between long-form (essays, blogs, articles) and short-form (captions, headlines, memes) with equal confidence
  • Script for video and reels with a deep understanding of audience interests, hooks, message carriers, audio cues, art recommendations
  • Proof and quality-check all copy before it goes anywhere near a client or a feed

Ideas & Culture

  • Be the first to spot what's moving  in culture, on feeds, in categories you work on
  • Develop original concepts backed by real insight, not surface-level trend-chasing
  • Think in memes, formats, and moments,  not just copy decks
  • Contribute to and help shape the creative culture of the team

Collaboration & Presentation

  • Work closely with designers, brand execs, and editors to take ideas from brief to finished output
  • Prepare concept boards and copy decks for client review - structured, well-framed, easy to navigate
  • Present your own work with clarity and conviction -  own the rationale, handle the feedback

What We're Looking For

Technique:

  • Fluent across formats -  you don't have a comfort zone, you have a range
  • Attention to detail that borders on obsessive - grammar, rhythm, and consistency matter to you
  • You understand strategy well enough to write copy that does real work for brands

Culture:

  • You're online in the right way — culturally plugged in, not just scrolling
  • You know what's earned attention recently and why it worked
  • You bring a point of view to briefs, not just outputs

Presentation:

  • You can walk a client through your thinking and make it land
  • Screen presence — comfortable on calls, in reviews, and in rooms where decisions get made
  • Your decks and concept boards are as considered as your copy

And the constants:

  • Accountability over excuses — always
  • High standards, low ego. No room for Diva energy
  • 3+ years of copywriting experience across brand and/or agency work

Work Culture

  • 5-day week + up to 3 days in-office, with local client travel as needed
