Senior Consultant - SAP

Job Description

Bristlecone India Limited seeks a Senior Consultant in the SAP Planning – Delivery team to lead the implementation, configuration, and support of SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) Order‑Based Planning solutions. The role bridges business requirements with technical design, ensuring seamless integration with SAP S/4HANA and delivering robust planning capabilities across the supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze business requirements for order‑based planning and translate them into SAP IBP functional specifications.
• Design, configure, and customize SAP IBP OBP models, demand, supply, and inventory planning books.
• Integrate SAP IBP with SAP S/4HANA, ensuring seamless data flow for master and transactional data.
• Develop and execute test scenarios, unit, integration, and user‑acceptance testing.
• Provide end‑user training, documentation, and knowledge transfer for OBP solutions.
• Support go‑live activities, hypercare, and post‑implementation issue resolution.
• Optimize planning processes and recommend best‑practice enhancements.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (logistics, finance, IT) to align planning strategies.
• Monitor system performance and perform root‑cause analysis for production incidents.
• Contribute to reusable assets, templates, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in SAP IBP, with at least 2 years focused on Order‑Based Planning.
• Strong understanding of supply chain planning processes (demand, supply, inventory, S&OP).
• Hands‑on experience integrating SAP IBP with SAP S/4HANA (IDoc, ODP, APIs).
• Proficiency in configuring planning master data, key figures, and transactional data flows.
• Experience in full lifecycle implementations (blue‑print, configuration, testing, rollout).
• Ability to translate complex business needs into technical solutions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• SAP IBP certification or equivalent SAP training preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field; MBA is a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% for client engagements.
