Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced IBM Jazz & Jama Connect Specialist to support requirement management, traceability, and lifecycle governance across engineering programs. The role will focus on configuring, administering, and supporting IBM Jazz tools (RTC, RQM, DOORS Next) and Jama Connect, ensuring seamless requirement management, collaboration, and compliance with industry standards.
The ideal candidate will work closely with engineering, QA, program management, and toolchain teams to enable scalable, traceable, and audit‑ready requirement processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, configure, and support IBM Jazz tools including:
- Rational Team Concert (RTC)
- DOORS Next Generation (DNG)
- Rational Quality Manager (RQM), as applicable
- Configure and support Jama Connect for requirements definition, review, approval, and traceability.
- Manage end‑to‑end requirements lifecycle including creation, baselining, change management, and versioning.
- Enable and maintain traceability between requirements, test cases, defects, and design artifacts.
- Support integrations between IBM Jazz, Jama Connect, and related tools (e.g., Jira, test tools, CI/CD systems).
- Configure workflows, access controls, templates, dashboards, and reports.
- Support users with tool onboarding, troubleshooting, and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with domain standards such as ISO, CMMI, ASPICE, DO‑178, or regulatory frameworks (where applicable).
- Assist in data migration, tool upgrades, and environment management.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and continuously improve tool usage and processes.
Mandatory (Must‑Have) Skills
- Hands‑on experience with IBM Jazz platform, specifically RTC and DOORS Next.
- Practical experience using and administering Jama Connect.
- Strong understanding of requirements management, traceability, and change control.
- Experience configuring workflows, permissions, baselines, and reports.
- Familiarity with Agile / SAFe / Waterfall development methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work with cross‑functional teams.
Preferred / Good‑to‑Have Skills
- Experience integrating IBM Jazz and/or Jama Connect with tools like Jira, Confluence, test management tools, or CI/CD pipelines.
- Exposure to scripting, REST APIs, or data exports/imports.
- Experience with tool upgrades, migrations, and performance troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of systems engineering, V‑Model, or complex engineering programs.
- Experience supporting regulated or safety‑critical domains (Automotive, Aerospace, Medical, etc.).
