About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Senior Buyer to drive end-to-end buying, merchandising, and new product development for a fast-growing, online-first denim brand. This role will own assortment planning, trend-led product creation, and inventory optimization across D2C and marketplace channels, ensuring high-velocity collections, strong margins, and agile replenishment.
Key Responsibilities
Buying & Assortment Strategy
- Own end-to-end buying lifecycle from concept to in-market execution for denim and adjacent categories
- Plan and manage seasonal assortments aligned with brand strategy, demand trends, and customer insights
- Lead new category expansion and test-and-scale product initiatives
- Ensure balanced assortments across core, fashion, and trend-driven SKUs
Product Development & Merchandising
- Drive trend research, fabric sourcing, wash development, and silhouette innovation
- Collaborate closely with design, merchandising, and production teams to create high-conversion, market-relevant products
- Monitor product performance post-launch and take data-led decisions for repeat, scale-up, or exit
Inventory & Supply Chain Optimization
- Manage forecasting, depth planning, and OTB (Open-to-Buy) to ensure optimal stock health
- Drive agile replenishment for fast-moving styles while minimizing dead stock
- Work with planning teams to improve sell-through, inventory turns, and ageing metrics
Commercials, Pricing & Costing
- Leverage data to guide pricing architecture, margin planning, and cost optimization
- Lead vendor negotiations on pricing, MOQs, lead times, and payment terms
- Ensure margins align with business targets across D2C and marketplace channels
Data & Performance Management
- Analyze category KPIs including sell-through, margin, inventory cover, ROI, and markdown impact
- Use consumer demand and platform insights to refine buying and assortment decisions
- Maintain close alignment with sales and marketing teams to support campaigns and drops

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion, Textile, Business, or a related field (preferred)
- 7–10 years of relevant buying experience, with prior exposure to online-first or fashion retail brands
