Purpose of the Position: To design and implement robust BI reporting solutions using MicroStrategy while leveraging both Oracle and Snowflake data warehouses. The role ensures reliable, performant analytics delivery across business units.
Key Result Areas and Activities:
- Develop and maintain dashboards, dossiers, schema objects, and reports in MicroStrategy.
- Integrate and optimize data pipelines connecting Oracle and Snowflake.
- Perform data modeling, ETL validation, and query tuning to ensure performance.
- Collaborate with business users to convert requirements into BI deliverables.
- Ensure governance, documentation, and best practices across the BI landscape.
Essential Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with MicroStrategy (Schema design, Developer, Web, Workstation)
- Expertise in querying and modeling data from Oracle and Snowflake
- SQL proficiency (joins, analytical functions, optimization)
- Experience building attributes, facts, metrics, filters, prompts
- Understanding of data warehousing & dimensional modeling
- Experience in dashboard performance tuning
- Troubleshooting, debugging, and BI support capabilities
Desirable Skills:
- Exposure to MicroStrategy SDK
- Knowledge of ETL tools (ADF, Informatica, Talend)
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS)
- Familiarity with Power BI or Tableau
- Understanding of Agile delivery
Qualifications:
- Experience: 7-9 years in BI development with strong MicroStrategy background
- Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, IT, or related field
