Senior Business Development Manager

Location: Mumbai

Role Overview

As a Senior Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales growth by identifying new business opportunities, developing strong industry relationships, influencing specifications, and securing high-value commercial projects.

The ideal candidate will have experience in project sales and a strong network within the architecture, interior design, contractor, builder, and corporate procurement community.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Lead Generation

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities through market mapping, networking, referrals, and industry engagement.
  • Generate leads from architects, interior designers, contractors, PMC consultants, builders, corporate clients, and institutional customers.
  • Build a strong project pipeline and convert opportunities into successful business closures.

Relationship Management

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with architects, interior designers, contractors, consultants, facility management companies, and procurement teams.
  • Conduct product presentations, technical demonstrations, and specification meetings.
  • Influence key stakeholders during the product specification and project planning stages.

Project Sales & Closures

  • Prepare techno-commercial proposals and project quotations.
  • Lead commercial negotiations and contract discussions.
  • Drive project conversions and secure large corporate, institutional, hospitality, healthcare, and government projects.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth project execution and customer satisfaction.

Pipeline Management

  • Track leads, opportunities, and sales activities through CRM systems.
  • Ensure timely follow-ups and movement of opportunities through the sales funnel.
  • Provide regular sales forecasts, market intelligence, and competitor insights.

Revenue &Target Achievement

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Drive revenue growth and market expansion within Mumbai, and surrounding regions.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling across the product portfolio.

Preferred Industry Experience

Candidates with experience in any of the following industries will be preferred:

  • Building Materials
  • Interior Products
  • Commercial Fit-OutSolutions
  • Construction &Infrastructure Products

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
  • 8–12 years of experience in B2B Sales, Project Sales, Institutional Sales, or Business Development.
  • Strong network with architects, interior designers, contractors, builders, procurement teams, and corporate clients.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office applications.
