We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Business Analyst to join our Business Analyst team. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with QA, Development, and Product teams to gather, analyze, and document business requirements-ensuring software quality, data accuracy, and alignment with business objectives. This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to use SQL for data validation, root-cause analysis, and supporting test activities. The BA will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams to help deliver high quality, reliable products.
Key Responsibilities
. Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and clearly document requirements related to software testing, data validation, and quality assurance.
. Translate business needs into well-defined functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
. Should support in creation of test strategies, test scenarios, and acceptance workflows.
. Should have strong knowledge in creating test plans, writing test cases, validating test results, performing System Integration Testing (SIT), and supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
. Perform data analysis and validation using SQL Queries to support requirement analysis, defect investigation, and UAT preparation.
. Ensure end-to-end traceability from business requirements to test cases and final outcomes.
. Analyze defect trends, perform SQL-based root-cause analysis, and help prioritize fixes based on business impact.
. Facilitate ongoing communication between business, QA, and development teams throughout the project lifecycle.
. Identify requirement gaps or potential process improvements and recommend solutions.
. Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, requirement review meetings, and retrospective sessions.
. Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by preparing test scenarios, validating data via SQL, and assisting business stakeholders during execution.
Required Skills and Qualifications
. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
. Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within QA or software testing environments.
. Experience in the BFSI domain is highly preferred.
. Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and software testing methodologies.
. Proficiency in SQL for data validation, analysis, and defect investigation.
. Hands-on experience with requirement gathering, functional documentation, and process mapping.
. Familiarity with test management and project tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Quality Center, TestRail).
. Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and problem solving skills.
. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
. Detail-oriented mindset with a strong focus on quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
. Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies is an advantage.
