We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst with deep experience in e-commerce, omnichannel environments, and martech/retail media ecosystems. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of thriving in fast-paced, challenging environments and has hands-on experience building post-transaction analytics, executive dashboards, order lifecycle reporting, and pricing & promotion scorecards. This role requires strong business acumen, analytical excellence, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights that support strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and transform complex datasets using advanced data wrangling, cleansing and preprocessing techniques to ensure high-quality inputs for AI models, products and analytics.
- Design and maintain robust data ingestion pipelines to integrate data from diverse sources seamlessly.
- Conduct in-depth exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover trends, anomalies, and actionable insights that inform business and AI model and product development.
- Utilise Python and SQL extensively for data manipulation, querying, and deploying AI-driven analytical models and products.
- Build intuitive dashboards and reports using Excel and Tableau to visualise findings and model outcomes.
- Translate complex machine learning model outputs into clear, data-driven insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with data scientists, engineers, and business teams to integrate AI solutions into operational workflows.
- Contribute to the evaluation and optimisation of statistical models and machine learning algorithms for high-impact business use cases.
- Stay updated on emerging AI trends and technologies, and industry best practices to continuously improve product performance and scalability, and product implementation efficiency.
Requirements
- 4-7 years of experience as a Business Analyst in e-commerce, omnichannel retail, martech, or retail media environments.
- Proficient in Python (with libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn) and hands-on experience in complex code building and deployment.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL for handling large-scale datasets efficiently.
- Proficiency in hypothesis testing, descriptive analytics using EDAs and AI/ML techniques, and familiarity with statistical modelling (e. g., regression, classification, clustering).
- Experience with Excel and Tableau for data visualisation and storytelling.
- Experience with working on Omni-Channel Metric, WBR/MBR.
- Strong experience in data wrangling, feature engineering, and pipeline development for large-scale datasets.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, version control (e. g., Git), and collaborative development practices is a plus.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Experience with the retail and CPG industry is a plus.
- Strong communication and storytelling abilities to effectively present insights and drive data-driven decision-making.
