Designation - Senior Azure Security Engineer

Location - Hyderabad, Chennai

Experience - 7 to 14 years

Seeking a Senior Azure Security Engineer with proven experience managing and securing Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments. This role will establish cloud security standards, safeguard sensitive data, and support secure adoption of advanced Azure services including Azure AI, Cognitive Search, Document Intelligence, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), as well as core O365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive) workloads.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and enforce Azure and O365 security policies, standards, and guardrails aligned to industry frameworks.
• Manage and optimize security services: Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, Key Vault, Policy, Firewall, RBAC, and Microsoft 365 Defender.
• Secure advanced Azure services including:
• Azure AI – protecting models, data pipelines, and APIs.
• Azure Cognitive Search & Document Intelligence – safeguarding sensitive data and ensuring compliance.
• Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) – container security, network policies, identity, and runtime protection.
• Implement and maintain O365 security controls: Exchange Online Protection, DLP, sensitivity labels, MFA/conditional access, and insider risk management.
• Collaborate with DevOps and application teams to embed security in CI/CD pipelines and O365 integrations.
• Monitor, detect, and respond to threats across Azure and O365.
• Automate governance and compliance checks using PowerShell, Azure CLI, Terraform.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications: AZ-500, SC-100, MS-500 (Microsoft 365 Security Administrator), or equivalent.

Mandatory Skills:

Hands-on experience managing security in Microsoft Azure and O365 (5+ years cloud security, 3+ years Azure/O365 focus).

Expertise in Azure AD / Entra ID, conditional access, RBAC, and privileged identity management.

Demonstrated experience securing Azure AI, AKS, or advanced Azure workloads.

Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 security controls (Defender suite, DLP, sensitivity labels, identity protection).

Background in incident response and remediation in cloud environments.
