Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented candidate with 3-4 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background
in market analysis and strategy in the life science industry, including
competitive intelligence analysis, and moderate proficiency in data analytics using Microsoft Excel, with a focus on leveraging pharmaceutical commercial datasets.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive market and competitive analysis to identify market trends, competitor activities, and potential opportunities. Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in the pharmaceutical industry
- Develop and maintain competitive intelligence reports, dashboards, and presentations and tracking Competitive developments using multiple databases e.g. ClinicalTrials.gov, TrialTrove, Investor relation presentations etc.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide insights and recommendations based on competitive intelligence findings
- Monitor industry developments, regulatory changes, and market dynamics to keep the organization informed
- Support the development of strategic initiatives by providing data-driven insights
- Utilize pharmaceutical commercial datasets to extract, analyze, and interpret data to support strategic decision-making
- Apply research findings and problem solving skills in client projects including competitive intelligence monitoring, commercial analysis, and commercial forecasting
Qualifications/Requirements
- Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences)
- 3-4 years of experience in competitive intelligence, market research, or a similar role within the pharmaceutical industry
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical market dynamics, regulatory environment, and competitive landscape
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, including the use of formulas, pivot tables, and data visualization tools
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical commercial datasets and industry-specific databases is a plus
- Knowledge and experience in pharmaceutical product commercial forecasting and analytics is a plus
- Experience with other data analysis tools or platforms is a plus
