Role Description The Senior Architect role is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru. The Senior Architect will lead end-to-end architectural design for smart homes, from concept development and spatial planning to detailed drawings and design documentation. This role involves collaborating closely with software, integration, and engineering teams to embed smart automation and tech-enabled solutions into residential projects. The Senior Architect will review and refine designs for feasibility, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness, while ensuring adherence to building codes, local regulations, and MyScaai Bharat's quality standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating with project managers on timelines and deliverables, guiding junior architects and designers, conducting design reviews, and engaging with clients to understand requirements and present design options. The Senior Architect will also support continuous improvement of design processes, tools, and standards to enable scale across multiple cities.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Architecture and Architectural Design, including concept development, construction detailing, and familiarity with building codes and regulations.
- Experience collaborating with Software Development and Integration teams to incorporate smart home technologies and tech-enabled solutions into designs.
- Proven Project Management capabilities, including planning, coordination with cross-functional teams, and managing timelines and deliverables for multiple projects.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution; professional licensure or registration is preferred.
- Proficiency in modern design and documentation tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, BIM tools, SketchUp, or similar) and comfort working with digital collaboration platforms.
- Demonstrated experience in residential or smart home projects, ideally in fast-paced or high-growth environments.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills, with the ability to translate requirements into clear design solutions and guide stakeholders through options.
- Ability to mentor junior team members, work effectively in multidisciplinary teams, and adapt to evolving processes and standards.
