- Support the global private real estate credit team in underwriting and executing new investments for a wide range of commercial real estate transactions. Investments include senior bridge loans, mezzanine loans, and preferred equity backed by virtually all property types
- Assist in creating and maintaining detailed and complex financial valuation and underwriting models for financing real estate investments
- Support and coordinate asset-level and market-level due diligence
- Contribute to developing an understanding of a deal's capital structure, business plan, and key risks to the performance
- Support analysis of physical characteristics of properties, and the related competitive advantages and disadvantages
- Assist in evaluating existing and potential operating characteristics of a project (Revenue/Rent Rolls, expenses, capital expenditures, tenant credit, leases)
- Gather and synthesize market information through independent research to help identify demand drivers and support conclusion on future market rent, absorption, vacancy, and liquidity in the investment market
- Provide inputs and support in preparing term sheets and letters of intent
- Assist in drafting comprehensive investment memorandum to be presented to senior management for consideration and approval.
Requirements
•Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or Accounting
•2-5 years of experience in real estate finance.
•Strong analytical skills and quantitative skills.
•Experience creating financial models. Expertise in Excel; Power point and ARGUS proficiency helpful but not required.
•Ability to learn new IT applications related to market diligence, relationship and portfolio management.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
