The Senior Accountant (Shipping Commercial) will be responsible for managing financial operations specific to shipping activities, including pre- and post-fixture accounting, freight and hire management, and voyage-based financial analysis. The role requires strong expertise in maritime accounting, financial reporting, and compliance, along with the ability to handle commercial shipping transactions independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage shipping-related financial transactions, including freight, hire, and demurrage
- Handle accounting for pre-fixture and post-fixture activities
- Prepare and analyze voyage-wise P&L statements
- Ensure accurate invoicing, billing, and reconciliations
- Maintain financial records in compliance with maritime accounting standards
- Coordinate with operations and commercial teams for financial inputs
- Monitor receivables, payables, and cash flow related to voyages
- Support audits and ensure statutory and internal compliance
