Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Senior Accountant role based in Ahmedabad. The Senior Accountant will manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, reconciliations, and oversight of accounts payable and receivable. The role includes preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, monitoring cash flow, and supporting budgeting and forecasting activities. The Senior Accountant will ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls, while coordinating with auditors, banks, and external partners as needed. This role will also support management with financial analysis, cost tracking for projects, and process improvements to strengthen financial accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in core accounting functions, including general ledger management, reconciliations, month-end and year-end closing, and financial reporting.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and supporting management with data-driven financial insights.
• Solid understanding of taxation, regulatory compliance, and statutory filings relevant to the region and industry.
• Hands-on experience with accounting software/ERP systems, advanced MS Excel skills, and comfort working with financial data and spreadsheets.
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities, with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (CA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent) is preferred.
• Relevant experience in a Senior Accountant or similar role, ideally within design, interiors, construction, or related project-based industries.
