Scrum Master

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Scrum Master who will lead Agile delivery practices, coach cross-functional teams, and ensure adherence to Scrum principles across our development efforts. The ideal candidate excels at facilitating collaboration, removing impediments, and driving continuous improvement to support both productivity and product quality.

This role requires strong communication, leadership, and process-oriented thinking, with the ability to partner closely with engineering, product, and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.

Guide teams in adopting Agile best practices and ensure consistent application of Scrum principles.

Partner with Product Owners to maintain a well-defined and prioritized product backlog.

Remove impediments and blockers to enable efficient delivery.

Foster a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.

Track, analyze, and report Agile metrics such as velocity, burn-down charts, and team throughput.

Ensure alignment between development teams, QA, product management, and business stakeholders.

Mentor team members and provide coaching on Agile values, roles, responsibilities, and ceremonies.

Protect the team from scope creep and maintain focus on sprint commitments.

Support cross-team coordination and facilitate communication across dependencies.

Identify risks early and work with stakeholders to create mitigation strategies.

Ensure the team follows organizational delivery processes and compliance standards.

Promote high-quality delivery by encouraging best practices such as Definition of Done, proper story refinement, and team ownership.

Mandatory Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

8+ years of experience in Agile project delivery, including 3+ years as a Scrum Master.

Strong understanding of Scrum, Kanban, and Agile frameworks.

Demonstrated experience coaching teams and facilitating cross-functional delivery.

Proficiency with Agile tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or Confluence.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to guide diverse teams.

Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with distributed or offshore teams.

Familiarity with Azure DevOps boards, queries, dashboards, and reporting.

Practical experience supporting CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes.

Exposure to software development environments using React, .NET, or similar technologies.

Knowledge of Agile scaled frameworks such as SAFe or Scrum@Scale.

Experience facilitating workshops, story-writing sessions, and team-building activities.
