PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The SAP Project Manager will lead the design, delivery, and adoption of a multi-entity, multi-country SAP S/4HANA system upgrade project (from S/4 HANA 2021 to 2025 version) at the Global Capability Centre (GCC).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee end-to-end S/4HANA system upgrade project planning through fit gap, realization, testing (SIT/UAT), cutover, deployment and hypercare.
- Ensure delivery of the project on time, within budget, and to the required quality Standards.
- Develop and maintain project plans, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
- Act as the senior interface between global line of business leaders, corporate IT, and the GCC delivery organization.
- Lead stakeholder engagement across business units, the executive sponsors, and global partners assuring effective communication, visibility, and governance.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks impacting project delivery timelines
- Conduct weekly / bi-weekly meetings with key stakeholders presenting project progress, risks, decisions
- Promote business process harmonization, leveraging SAP S/4HANA Leading Practices and global templates.
- Drive continuous improvement, knowledge transfer, and the institutionalization of SAP and digital leadership within the GCC.
- Ensure Compliance with company policies and procedures
REQUIRED TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
- 15 + years of experience in SAP technologies with In-depth knowledge of SAP S/4HANA architecture
- Should have Project Management experience (2 or more projects) in S/4 HANA implementations or S4 Hana Upgrade projects involving complex landscape transformation.
- Strong functional knowledge on one or more SAP functional modules (preferably SD, P2P, FICO or worked in Basis roles at senior level accompanied by technical architect skills)
- Should be familiar with SAP PI/PO and CPI technologies in providing effective guidance to SAP interfacing teams (interacting with other SAP & Non-SAP systems)
- Should have sound knowledge on key business processes and how these are mapped and addressed in the SAP system
- Solid understanding and experience in SDLC in the context of SAP development work.
- Should have data management skills in providing effective guidance to the team (in cleansing, validation and integration)
- Should have sound understanding using Fiori apps that aids in efficient role-based user experience in the projects and in modernizing SAP applications
- Should be proficient in using SAP Project Management tools (Solman, jira etc) ensuring alignment with SAP activate methodology.
- Should be familiar with SAP project methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Scrum etc)
- Should be able to manage changes in the project scope, timelines and resources effectively.
PREFERRED TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
- Program/Project management certification (PMP, Prince2, or similar) preferred.
- Experience in building high-maturity GCC/GBS/COE environments is a strong plus.
